The Weekend Wrap Up Part 1
It was a reasonably quiet weekend, by our usual standards. As you will come to learn, we often go out around 9pm on a Friday night and get home anytime from 4am on Saturday morning!
However, neither of us have been well this past week so we decided to stay home.
Saturday morning we headed into Newtown to our ‘go to’.
Flour Drum on King Street is not just about the food. Chris and his partner in crime, Johnny are the hosts of this brilliant and eclectic cafe, adding a warm and welcoming dimension to an industrial space.
They have recently started opening for dinner as well as breakfast and lunch and the menu is inspired.
We have tried most things on offer, from the Banoffee pancakes to the pappardelle, but you really can’t go past their bacon and egg roll with house made relish and their potato hash on the side.I was also lucky enough to sample one of their freshly baked croissants. Great Tea and coffee, served with a cheeky smile and delicious food.
